Kintamani Highlands, Indonesia
Bali Blue Moon — Single Origin
There's something unhurried about this coffee — and that's by design.
Grown on small family farms nestled in the volcanic highlands of Mount Agung, Bali Blue Moon carries the character of a place where ancient tradition and careful stewardship shape every step of the harvest. The farmers here operate under the Subak Abian, a communal system rooted in a 1,000-year-old philosophy called Tri Hita Karana — the harmonization of the environment, people, and God. No pesticides. No synthetic fertilizers. Just volcanic soil, citrus-shaded coffee trees, and generations of knowledge passed hand to hand.
What gives Bali Blue Moon its name — and its striking blue-green hue — is a traditional Indonesian wet-hulling process called Giling Basah. Unlike most origins, the parchment is removed while the bean still holds moisture, then slowly sun-dried on raised beds. The result is a bold, earthy cup with deep chocolate sweetness, a bright citrus edge, and a clean, lingering finish.
This is a coffee that asks you to slow down and pay attention — which feels right for a morning that starts with something sacred.
